family archives

Jon (with Tuppence), Granny Dunford and me at 'Somersey', Woking, Surrey - c1985 judging by my jeans!

Mum & Dad are coming over to see me soon and I asked if they could bring me some old family photos as I don't have any here. So Dad has been scanning some old photos and emailing me some to be going on with. I've uploaded a couple of the others he's sent too (but not the one of you with your 'angel wings' Mum so you needn't worry!).

Kate - remember Jon and I looking like this?! Apart from Mum & Dad I doubt if anyone else reading this does, but if you do sing out!

Not convinced about that top I'm wearing... jeans no doubt a Huddersfield market special, I seem to remember them having an elastic waistband and a popper strap at the ankle too (worn with cream anklewarmers and maroon pixie boots in winter - but I'm not entirely sure I should be admitting that....)

oh good lord. indeed I do. actually that's pretty much how I remember Jon full stop, I can barely countenance him as a grown up ;) not sure on the dating tho - I just checked the RAH (am at home en route back from Manc Airport) and then and Llangollen pics you had v short pixie haircut, the latter was June 84. Spose you could have let it grow that long in a year? But Jon doesn't look younger than 12 does he, so I reckon later than 85....

well given I got the perm Jan 86 and another looser one Jan 87 I reckon it had to be 85, maybe October half term hols? I know I started growing my hair longer again in 3rd year... If you look at Flickr you'll see a pic of Jon from 5 yrs ago, he hasn't changed much since then - just a few more grey hairs!!! (and I still don't have any hehehe.... shouldn't mock the afflicted should I? Especially on his birthday)

er I may have to have words about that picture Anna! and I think you'll find they're white hairs (they're much more distinguished than grey don't you know) :OP Please dont advertise the fact there are more pictures of me looking gormless, one is quite enough thank you. I'm sure there must me a law against siblings posting photos on the internet... I must look into that and soon before things get out of hand!
